We’re all starting to realize that you need to cold call sales leaders if you want job interviews, and that spamming out Easy Apply’s usually doesn't lead to anything.

But what do you say when you’re cold calling a VP of sales for a job?

You could use this as a rough framework:

"Hey {name}! Real quick. This IS a cold call, but what I'm trying to sell you is me coming to work for you at {company}.

Can I get 30 seconds of your time to explain why I'd be an awesome addition to your sales team?"".

Once they give you that 30 seconds, you need to hit them with a crisp and confident elevator pitch about you as a sales rep. Try to tie it into the skills and qualifications on the open job req. If they're hiring for a territory rep, mention your experience managing a territory. If they want someone with industry experience, highlight your industry experience. etc...

You can end with a close that's something like this: "With all that being said, have I earned an interview yet?"

Follow up with an email and use that same talk track in a personalized Vidyard.

They will love because they wish that their reps approached their work with the same energy.
