Stop Being Forgettable
How to Articulate Your Unique Value in Your Job Search
Stop sounding like every other rep in your job search.
Remember that outreach framework "why you/why now/why me?" It’s not just for prospects; it's gold for your job search too.
Too many reps approach networking and interviewing with generic pitches that make them instantly forgettable.
When you're trying to land a role, you need to articulate:
Why This Company?: Beyond "I see you're hiring." What specifically about their mission, product, market position, or culture resonates with you and your experience? Generic flattery won't cut it.
Why This Role Right Now?: What makes this specific opportunity the logical next step for you, and why are your skills particularly relevant to the challenges or opportunities the company is facing at this moment?
Why You (and Why Should They Care)?: This is your value proposition. What unique blend of experience, skills, and proven results do you bring that directly addresses their needs for this role? How will hiring you make their lives easier or help them hit their targets?
Don't make them connect the dots. Lay it out for them.
If you can’t clearly articulate this, you’re just another resume in the pile.
This is about positioning yourself as a solution, not just a job seeker.
It takes a bit of introspection and research, but it dramatically changes the conversation.
Figuring out how to frame this for different roles and companies can be tricky.
That's where having a sounding board helps.
My AI coach, ChrisAI, is trained on these frameworks.
It can help you craft compelling answers and build a narrative that makes hiring managers sit up and take notice.
